MUAY THAI AT RENEGADE
Muay Thai is the national sport in Thailand that has exploded in popularity worldwide.
Originally developed as a form of unarmed self defence, Muay Thai, also known as ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’, combines punches, kicks, knees, elbows as well as clinch work.
As a sport Muay Thai is contested in a ring with gloves, pro bouts being 5X3 minute rounds. Outside of Thailand many countries have semi-pro bouts with elbows being fairly recently introduced. The sports popularity has grown in parallel with the popularity of Mixed Martial Arts because Muay Thai is renowned for being the best stand up fighting style.
Our fight team boasts UK ranked fighters, British and European Champions at pro level.

Our coaches have a wealth of experience and hundreds of fights between them. This experience allows them to share and teach new skills to all levels of ability in all disciplines.

He had multiple periods where he has fought and trained in Thailand. The longest of these spells being a 5 month period where Anthony acquired a great deal of knowledge and skill that furthered his abilities in the field of Martial Arts.

In Andy’s last fight he broke his hand and had to make the tough choice to retire from fighting. Because of his understanding of the sport and work ethic it was natural for him to carry on as a coach and Andy has proven to be a great addition to Renegade Fitness Academy.
